was born in Bombay, India on 11 May, 1976. We moved to Malaysia when
i was five. I came to America when i was 18 for college; I have been
here ever since. I primarily speak English but i understand Marathi
and Hindi. I obtained my BS in Entrepreneurship and Marketing in 1998
and MS in E-Commerce Technology in 2001. I am pursuing a UCSD, MBA
program and graduating this August.
I work at a medical device company near San Diego, California in which
I have a substantial equity interest. The company engages in the manufacturing
and distribution of disposable medical devices worldwide. We have
now have operations in the USA, China, Malaysia and India.
I am an Indian citizen on an H1B visa. My company's law firm is handing
my Green Card process and just completed first step.
My beliefs and values are based on a blend of eastern (more indian
) and western cultures. I am not very religious but do visit Hindu
temple once a week. I enjoy working out, music, movies, sports and
eating multi-ethnic food but prefer non-vegetarian food.
My parents lived in malaysia since 1979. They now live in Goa. Their
parents originated from Konkan ( Mangalore and Maharashtra bordering
Goa) with Gaud Brahmin roots. My father ( Mangalprasad G. Desai, Ph.
D. ) recently retired from active manufacturing business which he
started several years ago in Malaysia. My mother ( Vijaya M. Desai,
B.Sc ) is a homemaker. I have no
siblings.
Expectations
Adventurous,
personable, confident and attractive Hindiu girl with professional
qualifications. Willing to move to USA and build life together. If
interested, higher education in USA after marriage is possible.
